The International Earthship Summit 2004 begins Oct. 29th to examine �earthships� and sustainable design. These structures are designed to recycle waste and use as little as possible of the Earth's resources when occupied. The walls are earth-filled tires with old, glass bottles and cans stuffed in the gaps for added insulation. The conference will visit Earthship Brighton, one of only two so far in Europe.
