i saw the Lee Bontecou retrospective today. what a treat it was to see her work in person.... the 3-dimensionality of her wall pieces.... the intricacy of her explosive suspended sculptures.... very interesting hybrid animal forms.... visionary landscapes.... so many great pieces. i can see where Lee Bul, Sarah Sze, and others must've gotten their inspiration from. catch it at the MoMA in the summer if you can.
