Pattern Language: Clothing as Communicator is an upcoming exhibition that has some classic pieces of concept clothing, including the Stock Market Skirt, by Nancy Paterson, that illustrates the Desmond Morris theory: when the economy/stock market is up, hemlines go up. when the stock market goes down, hemlines go down. check out the video of the hemline and more pictures.
