very good NYT article about transcranial magnetic stimulator, or TMS. it's based on the theory that suppressing one part of the brain will make room for improvement on another. it's the first real step in a neurological brave new world. as one can see, we've got to improve on designs of electrode wear. otherwise, i'm not going to walk around looking like that no matter how good my memory can get.
